Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant to join our behavioral health team in Denver. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists.

Responsibilities include medication management, Spravato and IV Ketamine assessments, psychotherapy, patient education, crisis intervention, and collaboration with Therapists, Social Workers, and support

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and PMHNP-BC certification.
• Prior experience in psychiatric or mental health settings preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills with compassion for patients and families.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and confidentiality protocols.
• Ability to learn and maintain Electronic Health Record systems.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations including medical history and mental status.
• Assist in diagnosing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with supervising psychiatrists.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to side effects.
• Perform Spravato and IV Ketamine assessments and monitoring.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling using evidence-based techniques.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-management.
• Maintain understanding of all treatment modalities and appropriate referrals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within 48 hours.
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
• Pursue continuing education and maintain certifications.
• Support follow-ups with psychiatrists/TMS providers including mapping.
