Job summary

Samba Behavioral Health at Jonesboro is seeking an experienced PMHNP to join our inpatient detox and recovery team in Jonesboro, Georgia. You will perform psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to provide evidence-based care for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.

This full-time position requires strong clinical skills, DEA registration, GA APRN license, and a commitment to trauma-informed, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher from an accredited program.
• Active PMHNP certification.
• GA APRN license in good standing.
• Current DEA registration and prescribing authority.
• 3+ years clinical experience in behavioral health or addiction medicine.
• Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Kipu.
• Strong assessment and plan-implementation skills.
• Excellent multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and admission assessments.
• Diagnose and manage mental health and substance use disorders.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Review labs and diagnostic data.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Provide patient and family education on medications and recovery.
• Document thoroughly in the Kipu EMR.
• Participate in team meetings and quality initiatives.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient safety.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapists to coordinate care.
• Respond to changes in patient condition with escalation when needed.
