Qualifications

• Ohio license as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist with prescriptive authority.
• Must have an NPI number and be enrolled as a provider to bill Ohio Medicaid.
• CAQH account created and active to streamline credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Screen, diagnose, treat, and manage mental health care while maintaining client data in an EHR.
• Administer psychiatric treatment, including prescriptions and medication reviews.
• Assess hospitalization need and establish initial treatment plan.
• Initiate referrals to internal or external providers and coordinate with psychiatrists and physicians.
• Educate individuals and families about medication management and continuity of care.
