Job summary

The Orchard View KidsCare Youth Development Professional - AM & PM at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County in Middlebury, IN supports safe, engaging after-school programming for children ages 5–12 at the school-based location. This part-time role focuses on activity and program support, helping youth develop skills, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful activities.

You will supervise youth, assist with daily activities, monitor safety, and collaborate with staff and school personnel to maintain

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Demonstrated competence working with youth ages 5-12.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to move continuously throughout program areas.
Able to visually and audibly monitor children in indoor/outdoor settings.
Ability to lift/carry/move up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Actively supervise and engage youth throughout daily program activities, maintaining full visibility.
Ensure health, safety, and well-being of all members; enforce expectations and monitor behavior.
Respond quickly to injuries, emergencies, and behavioral concerns per policies.
Support safe transitions, routines, and structured supervision in all environments.
Deliver fun, creative activities that promote learning, teamwork, and positive outcomes.
