Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking a PM Warehouse Assistant Manager in Delray Beach, FL to support the Warehouse Manager in daily operations and ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of fresh produce.

The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, safety, and cross‑department collaboration to optimize the supply chain and maintain product quality. Onsite, full‑time position with opportunities to lead a proactive team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management tools.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with cross‑department coordination.
• Meticulous attention to detail in inventory, stock counts, and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating daily activities: receiving, storage, inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock/stockouts and ensure produce freshness.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and shipping of fresh produce per industry standards.
• Supervise warehouse staff: training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards; maintain a clean, safe warehouse.
• Coordinate timely picking, packing, and shipping to meet delivery expectations.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and arranging repairs as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and best-practice implementation on the floor.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
