Job summary

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, a premier AAA Four Diamond resort, seeks a PM Valet Lead to lead the valet team during the evening shift and ensure seamless valet and shuttle operations with outstanding guest service. Reports to the Director of Front Office and upholds luxury service standards.

Responsibilities include directing staff, maintaining communications with Front Office, and promoting a welcoming, professional environment while adhering to safety policies.

The Lodge atWhitefish Lake, one ofMontana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a PM Valet Lead tojoin our Guest Services Team at $16 Hourly + Tips. All employees receiveperks of $50 rooms at any of our properties, and discount rates at our spa,restaurant, and retail.

PRINCIPLERESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

The PM ValetLead is responsible for providing leadership and support to the valet teamduring the evening shift. This position helps ensure smooth valet and shuttleoperations, exceptional guest service, and effective communication between thevalet team and Front Office leadership. The PM Valet Lead serves as a key pointof contact for the evening operation and reports operational needs, concerns,and issues to the Director of Front Office.

MAIN DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Superviseand support the valet team to ensure efficient daily operations and excellentguest service.
  • Communicateschedule changes, transportation needs, or operational concerns to theappropriate team members.
  • Reportany staffing needs, operational concerns, guest issues, equipment needs, orother matters requiring attention to the Director of Front Office.
  • Providedirection, training, and support to valet and shuttle team members.
  • Helpensure team members follow established procedures, safety standards, andservice expectations.
  • Maintainclear communication with Front Office and other departments regarding valet andshuttle operations.
  • Sharepertinent information from meetings with the valet and shuttle team as needed.
  • Assistwith resolving day-to-day operational challenges and provide leadership supportto the team.
  • Promotea professional, welcoming, and guest-focused environment at all times.
  • Ensureuniform standards and luxury service standards are adhered to.
  • Performother duties as assigned by the Director of Front Office.
SPECIFIC JOBKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
  • Abilityto communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the phone, withStaff, Senior Management team members, and Ownership.

  • Abilityand willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensuredepartmental personnel compliance.

  • Ableto operate a manual transmission.
  • Gooddriving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUI,DWI, reckless driving, or suspended/revoked license.

SUPPORTIVEFUNCTIONS

In addition toperformance of the essential functions, this position may be required toperform a combination of the following supportive functions, with thepercentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by theTransportation Manager based upon the requirements of the company.

  • Maintainan open line of communication between guests, employees and management.
  • Assistin any other duties as needed. This position may be required to perform otherand additional duties assigned by the Director of Front Office and/or GeneralManager.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS

Walking,climbing stairs, Crouching/Bending/Stooping, Pushing/Pulling, Lifting/Carrying(20 lbs.) will be required for this role.

QUALIFICATIONSTANDARDS
EDUCATION
  • HighSchool or High School equivalent is an asset
EXPERIENCE/LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
  • Minimumof 1 years’ experience in hospitality industry as an asset.
  • Mustbe at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
SCHEDULE /HOLIDAYS/ PTO:

This positionrequires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. The PM Valet Lead isexpected to usually keep a 5-day-a-week schedule but adjust as needed accordingto business needs; for example, a 6-day week may be required during peakbusiness periods. A work week of up to 50 hours per week can be expected.However, it can be more or less, depending on business needs. Working evenings,weekends, and holidays may be required. Holidays and PTO are in accordance withthe AH Exempt Employee policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Typically, PTO will not be permitted during June 15 - September 15 and December15 – January 5.

NOTICE:

Standing,bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 50 lbs. may berequired. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-fourhours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitableservice atmosphere must be always projected.
