Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to service the latest fleet of trucks in Salt Lake City. The role includes performing PM on Ford and GMC vehicles, with on-the-job training through the Technician Training Program and a paid hands-on interview.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude with repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license is required.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Basic computer skills for vehicle checks and records.
• Regular attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles using a pre-inspection checklist.
• Assist in other areas as directed by supervisor.
