Job summary

Wendys Delight Restaurant Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on building systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety. You will identify issues before failures occur and help minimize downtime through timely repairs and documentation.

The role requires basic technical training and a willingness to learn schematics and manuals; experience is not required, but preferred for advanced tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • No experience required, prior experience a plus.
  • Ability or willingness to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems according to a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Track performance of critical equipment (chillers, boilers, generators, pumps, etc.) and identify signs of wear, leaks, or malfunctions.
  • Make minor repairs or adjustments to prevent system failures; elevate technical issues to licensed trades as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment performance. Report findings and recommendations to management.
  • Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies when performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure proper care of tools, maintenance supplies, and spare parts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.

Job Overview:

Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on building systems and equipment to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety. Identifies and addresses potential issues before they result in equipment failure, minimizing downtime and costly repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems according to a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Track performance of critical equipment (chillers, boilers, generators, pumps, etc.) and identify signs of wear, leaks, or malfunctions.
  • Repairs & Adjustments: Make minor repairs or adjustments to prevent system failures; elevate technical issues to licensed trades as needed.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment performance. Report findings and recommendations to management.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies when performing maintenance tasks.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Working Conditions:

  • Physical activity may include lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • On-call availability for emergency equipment issues may be required.
