Job summary

• Maintains clinical competencies per Gonzaba Medical Group policy.
• Ensures customer service is maintained at the highest level.
• Adheres to customer service expectations including in-person and virtual communication.
• Participates in educational programs as needed.
• Updates job knowledge by reading professional publications and maintaining networks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment room for patient by following procedures and protocols.
• Prepares patients for PM&R therapy by welcoming and assisting into apparel or apertures.
• Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests.
• Helps treat patients by applying heat packs, paraffin dips, and assisting on equipment.
• Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercises.
• Keeps patient information confidential and protects operations.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment by following rules and regulations.
• Transports patients safely between positions and assists to bathroom and wheelchairs.
• Maintains patient safety as a priority to prevent falls as needed.
• Provides equipment by sterilizing and delivering supplies to treatment area.
• Ensures PM&R equipment operates correctly via maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintains PM&R supplies inventory and anticipates needed items.
• Adheres to standards and policies and protects patient information.
• Schedules patients for appointments and reschedules missed ones.
• Forwards treatment notes for billing and maintains confidentiality.
