Job summary

The Ben West Palm Beach is seeking a PM Public Area Attendant to maintain a pristine, elegant environment across the lobby, lounges, corridors and restrooms during our busiest evening hours. Working the evening shift, you uphold the hotel’s standards of cleanliness and presentation, ensuring every public space reflects luxury hospitality with a warm, attentive guest experience.

No formal education is required; previous upscale hotel experience is a plus, and a cheerful, hardworking attitude

• No previous experience required; upscale hotel preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning methods, cleaning implements and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains parking lot and public space cleanliness.
• Complete daily, weekly and quarterly cleaning checklists.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, thresholds, base boards, railings, elevators, stairwells and windowframes.
• Vacuum and spot clean carpeting, upholstery and drapery. Remove any gums from surfaces.
• Clean and shine all glass and metal surfaces.
• Empty all materials from trash receptacles and polish. Replace trash bags if used. Remove trash todumpster.
• Clean offices as assigned.
• Clean public restrooms and stock with supplies.
• Clean public and service elevators (inside and out).
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed.
• Appearance must be clean and professional with a cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Notify housekeeping leadership, maintenance department or MOD of malfunctioning equipment,supplies needed or damage to floor covering, upholstery
• Attends all departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communication and gain knowledgeofproducts, service and facility.
• Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone by providing timely andknowledgeable information in order to provide customer service.
• Follow all safety guidelines to ensure safety and protection of self, associates and guests.

Job Overview

As a PM Public Area Attendant at The Ben, you play a vital role in maintaining a pristine, elegant, and welcoming environment throughout all public spaces during our busiest evening hours. Working the PM shift, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and high standards of our lobby, lounges, hallways, restrooms, and guest areas as day transitions to night. Through your proactive attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to excellence, you ensure every evening guest, diner, and visitor enjoys an exceptional experience, directly supporting the hotel's reputation for outstanding hospitality.

Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, self-motivation during evening operations, and a genuine commitment to delivering a memorable guest experience. By consistently maintaining Marriott and The Ben's standards of cleanliness and professionalism throughout the evening shift, you contribute directly to guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and the overall success of the hotel.
