Job summary

Early Explorers Learning Center in Liberty, Missouri is seeking a dependable, caring and energetic part-time afternoon teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and thrives in a busy, supportive environment.

You will supervise children, assist teachers, support social skill development and daily routines, help with potty training and diaper changes, and ensure classrooms are clean, safe and well organized in compliance with Missouri licensing.

• Must pass state background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing afternoon care for preschool and school-age children.
• Support lead teachers and assist as needed.

• Assist with potty training and diaper changes.
• Prepare classrooms for activities and clean/sanitize daily.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and follow licensing rules.

Part-Time Afternoon TeacherEarly Explorers Learning Center is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic afternoon teacher to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of being a reliable member of a team.SchedulePart-time afternoon hours (schedule to be discussed during the interview).ResponsibilitiesProvide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.Supervise and interact with children of various ages, with the majority of time spent with our preschool and school-age classrooms.Assist teachers throughout the center as needed, providing support wherever it's needed most.Help children develop social skills, independence, and positive behaviors through play and daily routines.Assist with potty training, including toileting accidents and hygiene.Change diapers when assigned to younger classrooms.Maintain active supervision of children at all times.Help prepare classrooms for afternoon activities and end-of-day pickup.Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing duties, including sweeping, mopping, disinfecting toys and surfaces, taking out trash, and helping ensure classrooms remain clean and organized.Follow all Missouri childcare licensing regulations and Early Explorers Learning Center policies.QualificationsMust be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation.Trustworthy with a strong work ethic.Comfortable working with children ranging from infants through school age.Willing to assist wherever needed throughout the center.Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be active throughout the workday.Pass all required state background screenings.We're Looking For Someone Who...Shows up consistently and on time.Genuinely enjoys working with children.Is flexible and willing to jump in wherever help is needed.Takes pride in keeping classrooms clean and organized.Communicates well with coworkers and families.Wants to make a positive impact on the lives of children every day.If you're looking for a workplace where teamwork, reliability, and making a difference matter, we'd love to meet you!E04JI802kh1l409afko
