Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking a PM Production Assistant Supervisor to support daily production activities in Delray Beach, FL. You’ll work closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure efficient, high-quality processing of fresh produce while maintaining HACCP and GMP standards.

You will monitor line productivity, help minimize waste, and optimize handling, packaging, and shipping processes, with on-the-floor support and a focus on safety and teamwork on a PM shift.

Qualifications

• Possess verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in fresh food or production environment.
• Must have own transportation.
• Must have a working knowledge of English language.
• Basic mathematical abilities.
• Ability to interact across departments.
• Ability to train/enforce staff on safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for and may be called on to perform any or all duties assigned to lead persons by the company
• Responsible for performing supervisory duties as assigned by the Supervisor
• Responsible for (in the absence of the Supervisor) assuming and performing all supervisory duties as designated by the company. (See job description for Production Supervisor)
• Meet and maintain company objectives and efficiency standards for: Pounds per manpower, Overtime, Yield, Safety, Quality, Sanitation, Waste, and Customer specification
• Maintain a high level of morale in the production room by: Treating employees with respect and addressing them by name, Refraining from using harsh language, and Being fair and impartial when making judgments
