Job summary

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee, a proud part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks a PM Prep Cook to support evening culinary operations by preparing ingredients and meals to spec. You will maintain prep stations, follow recipes, and help ensure quality, cleanliness, and safety while mentoring junior team members and keeping the kitchen stocked for dinner service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years cooking experience; culinary or apprenticeship preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and items according to recipes and standards.
• Complete daily prep tasks to ready kitchen for dinner service.
• Wash, peel, cut, portion, marinate, and prepare foods as assigned.
• Label, date, store, rotate, and organize ingredients per FIFO and safety rules.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food temperatures; follow safety procedures.
• Communicate with chefs and line cooks about prep levels and needs.
