Liscio's Italian Bakery Inc. is seeking a PM Maintenance Technician to ensure production quality by maintaining and repairing bakery machinery and systems. The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting with meters, and following safety and OSHA standards.

You'll join a maintenance team on the PM shift, with weekends, holidays, and OT as needed, performing preventative and corrective tasks and keeping logs for shift continuity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience in bakery or industrial setting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred knowledge of PLC systems and NEC basics.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders or elevated platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns, focusing on mechanical and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, panels, wiring, sensors, switches, and production line power.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters to diagnose faults.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment including panels, lighting, and machinery.
• Maintain, adjust and repair mechanical systems such as conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and motors.
• Follow safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA standards.
• Document maintenance actions and maintain logs; manage parts inventory and expedites orders as needed.

Job SummaryThe PM Maintenance Technician ensures production and quality by maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery, equipment, and systems in a bakery environment. This role requires a mechanically inclined professional with preferred electrical troubleshooting skills who can maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime. You will work as part of a larger maintenance team and be responsible for both preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.Schedule: PM shift (Weekends, Holidays, OT may be required)Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Duties include, but are not limited to:Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns, focusing on both mechanical and electrical components.Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, and production line power supplies.Use appropriate test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters to diagnose and isolate electrical faults.Interpret and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment including panels, lighting, and production machinery.Maintain, adjust, and repair mechanical systems such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, pumps, and motors.Follow safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and adhere to electrical codes and OSHA standards.Document maintenance actions, irregularities, and maintain logs to ensure continuity across shifts.Maintain parts inventory, anticipate equipment and supply needs, and expedite orders as needed.Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient working environment by complying with internal procedures and regulatory standards.Required Education and Experience:High School diploma or GED equivalent.Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician.Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience in a bakery or industrial setting.Valid driver’s license.Preferred Knowledge & Skills:Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.Working knowledge of electrical safety standards and basic NEC codes.Familiarity with PLC systems is a plus.Basic understanding of boiler systems.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders or elevated platforms.
