Job description

We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our Housekeeping team. The ideal candidate creates a memorable experience for our guests through meticulous preparation and maintenance of their rooms. This role is the "Heart of the House" and provides key services to help guests relax and enjoy their stay. Experienced housekeepers may progress to supervisory or management positions such as Housekeeping Supervisor, Manager or Executive Housekeeper.

Your Role

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
• Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
• Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked
• Proper utilization of equipment supplies and guest amenities
• Thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
• Daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
• Practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards (e.g. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, suspicious persons) and report as needed
• Respect guests’ property and exercise courtesy at all times
• Take responsibility for care of equipment
• Report to work on time, maintain accurate time records and follow proper standards for issuance of rooms
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co‑workers
• Perform other related duties as requested by Floor Supervisor

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience desirable
• Neat, pleasant personality

• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Physical ability to maneuver, reach corners on floors and high places, lift and carry loads of at least 25 lbs, and operate equipment such as spray bottles, vacuums, mops, and dusters

Compensation

$14.00 – $15.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
