Job summary

Lemon Grove School District Early Childhood Education Center - Lemon Grove, California is seeking an ECE Classroom Assistant PM. This part-time position runs 11:45am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday, at the Early Childhood Education Center.

Under the director's guidance, you will support 3-5 year olds with instruction, monitor progress, and assist with materials, activities and safety. Prior experience with young children and bilingual ability are assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six ECE units (required).
• Two years of study beyond high school (preferred).
• One year experience working with 3-5 year old children (required).
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individual students or groups with teacher guidance.
• Prepare lessons and coordinate with the teacher; administer assessments.
• Assist in developing physical, cognitive, emotional, creative and social skills.
• Assist in materials preparation and displays; maintain student records as required.
• Monitor and report student progress and behavior per district policies.
• Supervise student activities and manage lunch, field trips, and other duties as assigned.
• Ensure health and safety; assist with bathroom routines as needed.

48 semester units beyond high school (preferred)
