Job summary

Newk's is seeking motivated, mature individuals to join our fast-paced restaurant as Dish Washer Staff. You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishware with machine and manual methods, and help keep the dishwashing area safe and organized.

The role requires extensive standing, exposure to heat and cold, good mobility, and effective communication with peers and managers. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Extensive standing without breaks.
• Exposure to heat, smoke and cold.
• Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided for periods of up to eight hours or longer as needed.
• Effective communication with peers, managers and guests.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job description

Dish Washer Staffis a Back of House positions. The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for plate ware, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using a machine and manual cleaning methods. This position ensures the dishwashing area is clean, safe, and sanitary. This position needs a motivated individual that prefers to work individually. Must be focused and pay attention to details.

Physical Requirements:

• Extensive standing without breaks.
• Exposure to heat, smoke and cold.
• Reaching heights of approximately six feet and depths of approximately three ft.
• Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided for periods of up to eight hours or longer as needed.
• Effective communication with peers, managers and guests.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred Experience but not limited to.
