Job summary

Benchmark, the AC Hotel's rooftop restaurant in Bozeman, MT, seeks a Cook to prepare and cook meals per chef direction and guest orders. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming kitchen through cleaning and proper food handling while ensuring sanitation standards are met.

The role requires standing for long periods, flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays, and basic reading, writing, and math skills. English fluency is preferred and prior food service training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in food preparation and handling.
• English fluency preferred.
• Certification of previous training in food service a PLUS.
• Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to stand/walk for the entire shift.
• Possess basic reading, writing and math skills.

• Have a thorough knowledge of the menu.
• Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
• Prepare and cook foods of all types.
• Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Description

The Cook is responsible for carefully and safely preparing food according to direction and as ordered by the server. The Cook will help to maintain a safe a welcoming kitchen environment through performing general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas. Ensure food safety by dating and rotating food containers, safely storing perishables, and maintaining a sanitary work environment.
