Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare or direct preparation of food using established procedures.
  2. Determine required food and supplies based on production systems.
  3. Ensure availability of supplies and food in time for preparation.
  4. Learn menus, recipes, and presentation standards.
  5. Set steam table; serve or oversee food service.
  6. Maintain sanitation, hygiene, and health standards.
  7. Store food properly, marking date and item.
  8. Report equipment issues to supervisor.
  9. Prepare all food following recipes and dietary requirements.
  10. Coordinate food production with meal serving times.
  11. Portion food for serving.
  12. Maintain daily production records.
  13. Keep work area clean and equipment maintained.
  14. Conduct food temperature checks before service.
  15. Prepare food for upcoming shifts and days.
  16. Work with servers to ensure guest satisfaction and address complaints.
  17. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary degree (2-4 years) preferred.
