Job summary

The Chateau of Long Beach, located in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a PM Caregiver to join our caregiving team. The role runs Tue-Sat, 2pm-10:30pm, and offers a $500 sign-on bonus with training provided.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with ADLs, documenting care, scheduling doctor visits, and maintaining a safe, compassionate environment for an elderly community. A DOJ/FBI background check and clearances are required.

Qualifications

• DOJ FBI live scan background clearance required.
• Pre-employment physical and TB test clearance required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies and maintains a safe work environment
• Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
• Complete any outstanding paperwork for the day including filing, logging medication and centrally stored record
• Additional duties as assigned by Administration

The Chateau of Long Beach is an assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
