Job summary

Bistro Attendant with Midas Hospitality is sought to deliver prompt, courteous food and beverage service in a hotel dining setting. You will engage guests, answer questions, and support room service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Opportunities for growth and guest-focused experiences are offered within the F&B team.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant, hotel, food service, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain friendly, professional, and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating procedures, and other workplace instructions.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle money and perform calculations involving currency, measurements, and quantities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support other hotel departments.
  • Must meet applicable legal age requirements for alcohol service in the state where the hotel operates.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Suggestively sell and upsell restaurant, lounge, and beverage menu items.
  • Process guest checks and payments accurately while following cash-handling procedures.
  • Verify guest checks and payment methods to protect guests and the hotel.
  • Complete opening and closing side work, including restocking and cleaning service areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, wait station, kitchen service areas.
  • Follow health, sanitation, food safety, and hotel standards.
  • Respond to guest questions, comments, and concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Attend pre-shift and departmental meetings to stay informed about products and service expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
  • Provide room service support by taking orders and delivering trays, obtaining payments or signatures.
  • Assist other Food & Beverage staff and hotel departments as needed to support operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by hotel management.

This position is responsible for providing prompt, courteous food and beverage service while creating a welcoming dining experience for hotel guests and customers. What You Will Be Doing

  • Attend pre-shift, pre-meal, and departmental meetings to remain informed about products, service expectations, and hotel operations.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
  • Provide room service support by taking orders, preparing and expediting room service trays, delivering orders to guest rooms, and obtaining payment or guest signatures.
  • Assist other Food & Beverage associates and hotel departments as needed to support overall hotel operations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by hotel management.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing and walking throughout the shift, as well as regular use of hands for handling food service items, equipment, and guest checks. The role may also require bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, climbing, kneeling, and occasional outdoor movement. The position requires regularly lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. The original template also identifies standing/walking, bending/reaching/stretching, and other physical activities as regular components of the role. The work environment is primarily indoors but may include exposure to wet or humid conditions, hot environments, moving mechanical equipment, and moderate to loud noise.
