Job summary

Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa is seeking a bartender for Peak Lounge to deliver prompt, friendly service and ensure accurate orders for guests and servers.

The role requires at least one year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to stand for long shifts, and strong communication skills. Good knowledge of alcohol, upselling, and safe service practices are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed drinks to guests and servers in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate knowledge of liquors, beers and wines.
• Upsell and suggestive sell of food and beverages.
• Requisition and restock bar with essential products and equipment.
• Observe liquor liability laws and serve responsibly.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and refuse service as needed.
• Interact with guests and address feedback positively.

Bartender | Peak Lounge

Overview

This position delivers prompt, friendly, courteous service to guests, ensuring that all orders for guests and servers are done accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
• Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines.
• Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests.
• Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.
• Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
• Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those patrons of the legal drinking age.
• Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated.
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone and in person
• Must have basic computer/MICROS knowledge
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Previous cash handling experience is required.
• Must be able to attain a valid AZ Food Handler & Responsible Beverage Service certification upon hire if not already certified.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service and engaging guests in conversation.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays.
