Job summary

Omni Tucson National Resort & Spa in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Bartender for Legend's Bar & Grill. You will deliver prompt, friendly service, craft cocktails, and ensure accuracy of guest orders.

Candidates should have at least one year of bartending experience in a fast-paced setting, strong knowledge of liquors, and be able to upsell food and beverages. Must have AZ Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Bartending experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Effective communication by telephone and in person.
• Must have AZ Food Handler & Responsible Beverage Service certification at hire if not already certified.
• Previous cash handling experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
• Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines.
• Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverages to guests.
• Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.
• Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
• Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those of legal drinking age.
• Monitor the intake of alcohol and prohibit sale to intoxicated guests.
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues.

Overview

This position delivers prompt, friendly, courteous service to guests, ensuring that all orders for guests and servers are done accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
• Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wines.
• Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests.
• Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.

• Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those patrons of the legal drinking age.
• Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated.
• Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone and in person.
• Must have basic computer/MICROS knowledge.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Previous cash handling experience is required.
• Must have valid AZ Food Handler & Responsible Beverage Service certification upon hire if not already certified.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service and engaging guests in conversation.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays.
