Job summary

AC Hotel by Marriott Greenville Downtown is looking for energetic PM Banquet Servers to support busy banquets and events. You will ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining room cleanliness and meeting the expectations for food and beverage service, while offering exceptional guest care throughout each function.

Responsibilities include reading Banquet Event Orders, answering guest questions, knowing the menu and ingredients, and assisting managers with setup and breakdown.

Qualifications

• Provide attentive guest service and ensure event spaces are clean and welcoming.
• Be able to read and respond to guest questions about functions and services.
• Maintain high sanitation standards before, during, and after each function.
• Know the menu items and explain major ingredients and preparation methods.

• Extend courtesy and goodwill to guests to create memorable events.

• Ensure guest satisfaction through meeting room cleanliness and attention to guests’ needs.
• Ensure that a high level of sanitation and cleanliness is maintained before, during and after each shift.
• Be able to read a Banquet Event Order, answer guest questions, and be willing to go above and beyond to please our guests.
• Know the menu for each function and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item served.
• Assist managers and captains in setting up and breaking down functions while enforcing all policies and procedures.
• Extend courtesy and goodwill to everyone at all times, making the guest event memorable.

Experience/Education

High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
