Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Camden Plywood in Camden, TX is hiring for a Production Operator on the Layup Night Shift. You will pull and assemble veneer cores, operate production equipment, and help keep the line safe, clean, and efficient. The role requires basic lifting and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Candidates with 6 months of manufacturing experience and forklift experience are preferred; two years in related fields is a plus. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing, military, industrial, farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, or construction environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on elevated walkways as required.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to operate production equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pull and lift plywood panels or scraps up to 25 pounds.
• Assemble veneer cores by layering sheets per patterns and project needs.
• Assist in operation, cleanup, and maintenance of production equipment including forklift operation.
• Adhere to safety/environmental guidelines and wear required safety gear.
• Read and follow written instructions to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to meet safety, production and quality goals.
• Cross-train on machines to expand operational knowledge.
