Job summary

Tulsa Tech is seeking an Instructor, Plumbing Technician for the Lemley Memorial Campus. This 10-month, full-time exempt role runs August through May and involves teaching and mentoring students toward industry or further education. A valid Oklahoma journeyman license and upcoming ODCTE teaching certification are required.

You will manage a classroom, organize materials, track student progress, and collaborate with staff to maintain current, industry-aligned curriculum.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ journeyman plumbing experience within the last five years.
• Current Oklahoma Journeyman or Plumbing Contractors’ License.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing and codes.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Must obtain ODCTE teaching certification with Trade & Industrial endorsement upon employment.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
• Plan and organize instructional materials, update lesson plans, and instruct using various modalities.
• Evaluate students regularly and track progress toward competencies.
• Provide counseling to support successful completion of program requirements.
• Maintain attendance, progress and grades records as required by policy.
