Job summary

Plumb Smart Plumbing in Youngsville, NC is hiring an experienced Residential New Construction Plumbing Technician. You will independently handle rough-in, water/sewer installation, and trim-out for custom homes, reading plans and coordinating with builders to keep projects moving.

You’ll document work with photos, communicate material needs promptly, and prepare for inspections, ensuring issues are addressed within your scope.

Qualifications

• Proven experience completing rough-in, trim-out, and water/sewer installation on new homes.
• Ability to read plans, organize materials, and complete work with minimal supervision.

Residential New Construction Plumbing Technician

Plumb Smart Plumbing | Youngsville, NC and the surrounding Triangle area

Plumb Smart Plumbing is hiring an experienced plumbing technician for our New Construction Division. We work primarily on custom homes and need someone who can complete all three stages of residential new construction plumbing independently, without day-to-day oversight.

What you’ll do

• Rough-in: Read plans and install drain, waste, vent, and water supply piping accurately and neatly.
• Water and sewer installation: Install residential water and sewer lines according to project plans and applicable requirements.
• Trim-out: Install and connect fixtures, faucets, toilets, water heaters, and other plumbing components; test your work and address issues before completion.
• Coordinate with the office, builders, and other trades to keep projects moving.
• Document work with required photos and communicate material needs, delays, and job completion promptly.
• Prepare your work for inspections and correct any issues within your scope.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience completing rough-in, trim-out, and water/sewer installation on newly constructed homes.
• The ability to read plans, organize materials, solve problems, and complete assigned work without someone directing each step.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing practices, testing, and inspection requirements.
• Careful workmanship, dependable attendance, and professional communication on custom home job sites.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites in our service area.
