Summary of Job

The Plumbing Professional installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential and light-commercial settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Identify required tools and equipment; select appropriate pipes.
2. Locate and mark connection and fixture positions.
3. Install supports and hangers for pipes and fixtures.
4. Assemble and install valves, fittings, water treatment equipment, and plumbing fixtures.
5. Test systems for leaks.
6. Perform scheduled maintenance.
7. Ensure installations meet code requirements and are properly supported.
8. Communicate clearly with customers about work being performed.
9. Maintain safety standards for yourself and colleagues.
10. Operate drain cleaning and jetting equipment.
11. Assist with excavation, trenching, and hand-digging as needed.
12. Perform or assist with full or partial repipes.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 3+ years of residential and/or commercial plumbing experience, including installation and service.
2. Ability to pass background and MVR checks; CDL not required.
3. Prioritize safety and adhere to OSHA standards.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and handle controls regularly. Climbing ladders, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and in confined spaces are required. Must lift up to 50 lbs routinely. Vision and focus abilities are essential. Expect varied environments and frequent communication with clients and team members.
