We are currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Apprentice.

As an HVAC Technician Apprentice, you will assist experienced Service Technicians in installing and repairing environmental control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. Work arrangement: Remote within the geographic area. You will be dispatched from your home to various locations around Nashville, TN to perform your duties.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Service customer equipment and systems, diagnosing and planning repairs.
• Collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and customers to understand on-site requirements.
• Utilize software, hand tools, blueprints, and specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Maintain safety standards and security of company assets.

Participants may be considered for our Trane Commercial HVAC Technician Apprenticeship Program (TAP), a four-year, nationally registered apprenticeship through the US Department of Labor, including paid instruction and on-the-job training. Successful completion leads to a nationally recognized credential and promotion to HVAC Service Technician.

What You Bring To The Table

• No prior industry experience required.
• HVAC training or certificates are considered but not mandatory.
• At least 18 years old at start date.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with minimal traffic violations.
• A strong desire to learn and impact the world around you.

Compensation: $25.96 - $48.32 per hour. This range may vary based on seniority, merit, location, education, experience, or company measurement systems.

Additional Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Wearing safety gear such as helmets, goggles, fall protection, and boots.
• Physical ability to twist, squat, reach, stand, lift, and maneuver in confined or elevated spaces.
• Exposure to variable weather, mechanical, electrical, and environmental hazards.
