Job summary

AIRO Mechanical is seeking a Plumbing Superintendent to lead on-site plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. You will coordinate technicians, subcontractors, and resources to meet project objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to read plans, adherence to codes, and clear client communication. This position spans commercial and industrial installations with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumbing Superintendent in commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and installation methods.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Understanding of safety regulations and practices in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans/specifications.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
• Plumbing certifications/licenses a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Plumbing projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Supervise activities of plumbing technicians, subcontractors, and personnel.
• Ensure installations comply with codes, specs, and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols with regular meetings/inspections.
• Manage project resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain client relationships and provide project updates.
• Identify and resolve project issues to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain daily/progress/as-built records.
• Assist in monitoring budgets and controlling costs.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role:

As a Plumbing Superintendent at Airo Mechanical, you will assume a leadership role in overseeing Plumbing projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing all on-site aspects of Plumbing installations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. This role presents an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of challenging and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Plumbing projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet project objectives and client expectations.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of Plumbing technicians, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.
• Ensure that Plumbing installations comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing project updates as needed.
• Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling costs effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Plumbing Superintendent in commercial and industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Plumbing systems, installation methods, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in construction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
