Job summary

G.F. Bowman, Inc. is hiring multiple Plumbing Service Technicians to serve Harrisburg, Lebanon, and surrounding areas. You’ll be dispatched from home to residential calls, with daily training and shop visits for parts and collaboration.

Starting levels depend on experience, with hourly pay ranges from $26–$45 plus incentive pay. Benefit options include health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off, plus a company vehicle after you’re on calls.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of residential plumbing service or installation experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• A real passion for customer service and working with homeowners
• Willingness to learn and follow the Nexstar service system and participate in training
• Comfort using a tablet and app-based field software
• A positive attitude and an enthusiastic, fun approach to customer service
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Willingness to travel for occasional training (up to 3 nights)

Responsibilities

• Run residential plumbing service calls throughout the Harrisburg and Lebanon areas
• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems
• Install, service, and repair residential plumbing, including water heaters (tank and tankless), fixtures, sump pumps, well pumps, water treatment, and drains
• Follow our Nexstar service process: evaluate the system, present options, and get the homeowner's approval before starting work
• Resolve the problem the same day when possible, or schedule the work as soon as possible
• Deliver a 5-star, friendly, and professional experience in every home

We're growing our residential service plumbing team and are hiring multiple Plumbing Service Technicians. If you're an experienced service plumber who loves helping homeowners and wants to grow with a team that invests in training, we'd love to talk to you.

Pay

• Hybrid pay: hourly rate plus weekly efficiency incentive pay, plus spiffs

• Level 1 Technician: $26 - $30/hr

• Level 2 Technician: $30 - $36/hr

• Level 3 Technician: $37 - $45/hr

• Your starting level is based on your experience and skills

Schedule & On-Call

• Full-time. Dispatched from home, with shop visits 2 to 3 mornings a week for parts, weekly department training, and 1:1s

• No overnight on-call. Weekend daytime on-call only (Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM to 5 PM) on a rotation

• On-call pay: $50 per on-call day, $30 per call run, time and a half on Saturdays, and double time on Sundays and holidays

What You'll Do

• Run residential plumbing service calls throughout the Harrisburg and Lebanon areas

• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems

• Install, service, and repair residential plumbing, including water heaters (tank and tankless), fixtures, sump pumps, well pumps, water treatment, and drains

• Follow our Nexstar service process: evaluate the system, present options, and get the homeowner's approval before starting work

• Deliver a 5-star, friendly, and professional experience in every home

What We’re Looking For

• 3 to 5 years of residential plumbing service or installation experience preferred
