Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to all service calls.
- Handle various plumbing emergencies efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain politeness and respect for clients and their homes at all times.
- Install pipes, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, and heating and cooling systems.
- Evaluate situations thoroughly and discuss repair options with clients.
- Adhere to health and safety codes consistently.
- Obtain written authorization before proceeding with repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete authorized repairs professionally and in a timely manner.
- Prepare invoices with accurate customer and job details, and ensure work meets current plumbing codes.
- Provide detailed descriptions of work performed, materials used, and recommendations for future work.
- Verify that all work is completed correctly before leaving the site.
- Ensure payment is received upon job completion.
- In billing situations, verify billing status before starting work and assist in training apprentices on installation, service, and code compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Proficient in English for clear communication with team and clients.
- Strong knowledge of water, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical strength and dexterity.
- Polite demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in construction.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, reach, bend, kneel, and work in various positions safely.
- Capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. and occasionally over 100 lbs.
- Regularly work with ladders, at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Work in hot and cold environments as needed.
