Job summary

Tennessee Standard Plumbing seeks an experienced service technician to join our team in the Knoxville area. Service techs are the face of the company, delivering world-class customer service while diagnosing plumbing problems, presenting multiple pricing options, and completing small repairs or routing larger projects to the install department.

The role emphasizes educating clients, offering options, and ensuring health, comfort, safety, and convenience for homes and businesses.

Qualifications

3 years of plumbing experience.
3 years of home service or sales experience.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build trust and show empathy to others.
Confident, able to overcome objections.
Team player, asset to company culture.
Coachable, willing to learn.
Engaging positive attitude that loves to serve.

Responsibilities

Adhere to our 4-phase service call process.
Perform a thorough system evaluation on every service call including photos of significant plumbing problems.
Record water pressure and heater age.
Provide clients with multiple options using photos.
Follow communication touchpoints with customer, dispatch and service manager.
Maintain a clean and organized truck and work environment.
Ensure truck stocked with items and tools.
Use safety tools and equipment on every job.
Follow anti S.L.A.C.K.E.R. process to avoid recalls and get it right first time.
Close out each job with photos, payment, invoices, and purchase orders.
Attend training meetings and skill practice sessions.
Ask for 5-star reviews with high success rate.
