Hire Right Recruiting is seeking a Plumbing Service Manager for the Greater Los Angeles area to lead a residential plumbing team and ensure top-notch workmanship and customer care. This hands-on leadership role reports to the Operations Manager and includes a department performance bonus on top of base pay.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of residential plumbing experience with prior leadership, strong communication skills, and a drive to improve revenue and service standards in a busy home

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years minimum of residential plumbing experience including service, repair and drain work.
• Prior leadership experience as a service manager, dispatch manager, lead plumber, or field supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, water heaters, drains, and safe work practices.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and manage a team of residential service and drain plumbers.
• Run daily dispatch and call flow to keep the board full and trucks productive.
• Coach in the field and enforce diagnostic and customer communication standards.
• Own department performance including revenue, average ticket, conversion, and memberships.
• Handle escalated customer issues and protect company reputation on calls.
• Partner with HVAC, sales, and call center on cross-department opportunities.
• Manage permits, inspections, and code compliance on applicable work.
• Track department KPIs and report performance to leadership.

Compensation: $75,000 - $115,000 / year

Description

A well established residential home services company in the greater Los Angeles area is looking for an experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead their plumbing department. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for running a team of service plumbers, keeping the board full, and holding the department to a high standard of workmanship and customer care. The position is available immediately and includes a department performance bonus on top of base salary. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and manage a team of residential service and drain plumbers
• Run daily dispatch and call flow so the board stays full and trucks stay productive
• Ride along, coach in the field, and hold plumbers to diagnostic and customer communication standards
• Own department performance including revenue, average ticket, conversion, and membership goals
• Handle escalated customer issues and protect the company reputation on every call
• Partner with HVAC, sales, and the call center on cross department handoffs and whole home opportunities
• Manage permits, inspections, and code compliance on work that requires them
• Track department KPIs, run daily huddles, and report performance to leadership

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• 3 to 5 years minimum of residential plumbing experience, including hands on service, repair, and drain work
• Prior leadership experience as a service manager, dispatch manager, lead plumber, or field supervisor
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, water heaters, drains, and safe work practices
• Comfortable coaching plumbers on customer communication and options based selling
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a customer first mindset
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
