Any Hour Group is seeking a Plumbing Service Apprentice in Ogden, UT to support licensed plumbers on service calls and learn to diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, fixture issues, and water heater problems under direct supervision. You'll gain hands-on experience with tools, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment to build a solid foundation in the plumbing trade.

This entry-level role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in plumbing apprenticeship or trade school preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with leaks, clogs, fixtures, and water heater repairs.
• Prepare tools and materials; cut and measure pipes under supervision.
• Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Support testing of water pressure, drainage, and system performance.
• Document work and assist with job notes.
• Explain repairs to customers and support technicians.
• Protect and clean customer properties after service.

Job description

As a Plumbing Service Apprentice, you'll support licensed plumbers on service calls, learning to diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, fixture issues, and water heater problems under direct supervision. You'll gain hands-on experience with tools, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment while developing the technical foundation needed to advance in the plumbing trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers with diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, fixture replacements, and water heater repairs
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for service calls, and perform basic tasks like cutting and measuring pipes under supervision
• Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and work orders to understand job requirements
• Support testing of water pressure, drainage, and system performance
• Document work performed and assist with job notes
• Provide professional and respectful assistance to customers, supporting technicians in explaining repairs and options
• Ensure customer property is protected and cleaned up after service

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Enrollment in or interest in a plumbing apprenticeship or trade school program preferred

Experience

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and materials

Licenses/Certifications

Physical Demands and Conditions

• Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and standing for extendedperiods

Work Environment/Travel

• Field-based role with daily travel to customer homes and commercial sites
• May require evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on service demand

Ability to pass background check and drug screening
