Job summary

UMC, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Project Manager to oversee all plumbing aspects of multi-family new construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and code compliance. You will manage procurement, budgets, schedules, QA/QC, and subcontractors, coordinating with field teams and estimators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensed journeyman plumber with 4+ years; 10 years for senior level.
• 3-5 years of project management experience in construction; multi-family experience required.
• Commitment to UMC's Vision, Mission and Core Values; maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, initiative, and communications skills.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, plans, and building codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn Field View, Bluebeam, Vista by Viewpoint.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; valid driver's license; pass background/drug tests; authorized to work in USA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all plumbing aspects of multi-family new construction from planning through completion.
• Review contracts, bids, and SOVs with estimators; provide feedback to improve accuracy.
• Manage procurement of major plumbing equipment and materials; monitor budgets and schedules.
• Facilitate QA/QC; ensure field teams complete proper documentation.
• Update and distribute job schedules and manpower with field managers.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and critical objectives.
• Staff, manage, and support multi-family plumbing projects; coordinate resource needs.
• Develop and implement project execution plans including quality, safety, subcontracting, staffing, procurement.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, codes, and company standards.
• Negotiate change orders, back charges, claims, settlements with management and subs.
• Communicate project status, KPIs, risks, schedules, and costs to stakeholders.
• Manage contract administration: RFIs, ASIs, submittals, RFQs, change management, closeouts.
• Gather monthly billing information; approve completed billing for customers.
• Attend project meetings; maintain communication with estimators, field teams, and customers.
