UMC, Inc. is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support project teams in plumbing and HVAC construction. The role emphasizes adherence to schedules, safety, and quality while developing skills under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
• 1–3 years of recent experience as a Project Management Assistant, Project Coordinator, or Project Engineer in construction, preferably in plumbing or HVAC.
• Must support UMC's Vision, Mission, and Core Values; demonstrate integrity and confidentiality.
• Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, initiative, and communications skills.
• Ability to read operating manuals, plans, and building codes; proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore.

Responsibilities

• Administration including RFIs, ASIs, submittals, RFQ changes, closeout, and claims mitigation.
• Data entry of project take-offs.
• Creation of QA/QC sheets for each project.
• Create MR’s as necessary; raise RFIs for basic constraints or concerns.
• Monitor lead times; oversee material purchases to keep budgets on track.
• Facilitate QA/QC and engage Field Managers and Superintendents in the process.
• Participate in planning, scheduling, cost estimates, and project objectives.
• Ensure projects adhere to client governance and SOPs.
