ColonialWebb is seeking an Assembly Mechanic in Richmond, VA to assemble, align, and test mechanical and piping systems to exacting standards.

You will read drawings, use hand and power tools, and conduct pneumatic/hydrostatic tests, with emphasis on safety, QA, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience assembling piping systems.
• Plumbing or pipefitting experience preferred.
• Experience performing pneumatic or hydrostatic testing preferred.
• Familiarity with flow shop procedures and SOPs preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and data-based decision-making.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and align piping systems, supports, valves, and control components per specs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Interpret drawings to lay out and assemble systems with precision.
• Perform pneumatic and hydrostatic tests and inspect for leaks.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, test results, and material usage.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE and lockout/tagout.
