Job summary

The Job Shop is seeking a Plumbing Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems across sites in the Kansas City area. The role involves responding to service calls, performing preventative maintenance, and installing fixtures as needed to meet safety and building code standards.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, with flexible hours to handle emergency calls.

Qualifications

• Basic set of hand and electric tools.
• Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Comfortably utilizing a smart phone.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to respond to emergency calls outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drains, and sewage systems.
• Respond to plumbing service calls such as clogged drains, leaking faucets, running toilets, and water pressure issues.
• Perform preventative plumbing maintenance to avoid future issues, including cleaning drains and checking water heaters.
• Install plumbing fixtures and systems as needed, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair broken or faulty plumbing systems, including underground piping and connections.
