Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design seeks a Plumbing/Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain plumbing systems across campus, ensuring water distribution and waste drainage meet all codes and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, plan service layouts, perform preventive maintenance across plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical and HVAC tasks, and may require on-call shifts including weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Two years of verifiable plumbing experience in light/medium maintenance or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a Florida driver’s license.
• Graduate from an accredited trade school in plumbing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing systems and fixtures in campus buildings.
• Reads blueprints and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
• Plans, installs and services plumbing systems, fixtures and piping equipment.
• Ensures compliance with building codes and safety standards; maintains records.
• Performs general building maintenance tasks including related trades as needed.
