Job summary

S&J Plumbing in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a skilled Residential Plumbing Installer to join our growing team. You’ll deliver high-quality installations and provide a positive customer experience.

If you have 3+ years of residential plumbing, a valid Illinois license (or you are a third-year apprentice), and a clean driving record, you’ll fit right in as you install, diagnose, and service homes with state-of-the-art tools and a strong leadership team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential plumbing experience.
• Illinois plumbing license preferred (3rd-year apprentice considered).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential plumbing systems, including water and gas lines.
• Perform system diagnostics and ensure installations meet local codes and regulations.
• Clearly explain options to homeowners and help them make informed decisions.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with dispatch and team members.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.

Pay & Benefits

• Flexible Pay Structure:Choose the compensation model that works best for you—hourly pay plus performance incentives, or a 100% commission-based pay structure with earning potential up to 10% commission.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Plumbing Installer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality installations while creating a great experience for homeowners.

• Install, maintain, and repairresidential plumbing systems, including water and gas lines

• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and job site
• Attend ongoing training to continue developing your skills

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of residential plumbing experience
• Illinois plumbing license preferred (3rd-year apprentice considered)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license with aclean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Military experience welcomed and encouraged
