Description
Jake's Heating, Air & Plumbing | Knightstown, IN | Full-Time
Know Plumbing? Take Pride in Your Work? Let's Talk.
Jake's Heating, Air & Plumbing is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Residential Install Plumber who knows their craft, takes ownership, and gets the job done right.
We're not looking for someone who just shows up, installs equipment, and calls it a day. We want someone who takes pride in their workmanship, thinks ahead, solves problems, and knows how to deliver a quality installation from start to finish.
Someone who doesn't cut corners, doesn't make excuses, and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulder to get the job done.
If you're confident in your skills, motivated to succeed, and take pride in being someone others can count on, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the Install: Complete residential plumbing installations and replacements with precision, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Know Your Craft: Install water heaters, tankless systems, water softeners, sump pumps, water lines, fixtures, and other residential plumbing equipment.
- Solve Problems: Troubleshoot installation challenges, think on your feet, and find solutions that keep jobs moving.
- Get It Right the First Time: Ensure installations meet applicable plumbing codes, safety requirements, and company quality standards.
- Take Charge: Manage assigned jobs, stay organized, and take responsibility for the quality and completion of your work.
- Build Customer Confidence: Communicate professionally with homeowners, explain the installation process, and make sure they know what to expect.
- Work as a Team: Partner with plumbing service, dispatch, and other installers to keep projects running smoothly.
- Stay One Step Ahead: Identify potential issues before they become problems and take initiative to keep jobs on track.
- Finish Strong: Test installed equipment, verify proper operation, clean up your workspace, and leave every home better than you found it.
- Stay Accountable: Document job details, materials, and completed work accurately in our CRM.
What We're Looking For
- Residential plumbing installation experience required.
- Plumbing license preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, installation procedures, and applicable codes.
- Experience installing water heaters, fixtures, water lines, and other residential plumbing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make confident decisions in the field.
- A competitive, goal-driven mindset with a commitment to quality and productivity.
- Someone who takes initiative, works independently within their qualifications, and doesn't need to be micromanaged.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing the job right the first time.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to build trust with homeowners.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to keep learning.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
