Hillsborough Township is seeking a Plumbing Inspector to enforce NJ UCC regulations and conduct daily field inspections under direct supervision.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) but part-time hours up to 25 hours per week will be considered. Annual salary for the full-time role is $77,000 with benefits; a $2,500 annual stipend may be offered for licensed Mechanical Inspectors under the union agreement.

Plumbing Inspector - Hillsborough Township

Under direct supervision of the Construction Official and Plumbing Subcode Official, the Inspector shall enforce the NJ UCC regulations and complete daily field inspections. This is a full-time, 40-hour work-week position, but will consider part-time hours of up to 25 hours per week.

Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent, valid NJ driver's license, and NJ Department of Community Affairs Inspector ICs license.

Vehicle provided for inspections.

Annual salary for full-time position is $77,000 based on AFSCME union agreement and offers medical benefits, pension/life insurance, sick time, paid time off, short-term disability, merit increase, and training opportunities. Hourly rate for the part-time position is $50 and offers state-earned sick time and retirement program. Possible $2,500 annual stipend if a NJ DCA licensed Mechanical Inspector and conducting these types of inspections per union agreement.
