Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is a leading modular construction company providing high-quality, efficient buildings. The Plumbing/HVAC Supervisor will lead and coordinate daily plumbing and HVAC activities across two production lines, drive productivity, ensure high-quality installations, and maintain safe, efficient workflows in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of plumbing and/or HVAC experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of plumbing and HVAC technicians across production lines.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Drive daily production targets, ensuring schedule adherence and labor efficiency.
  • Maintain workflow and eliminate bottlenecks to support continuous line movement.
  • Troubleshoot complex plumbing and HVAC system issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, NEC standards, company policies, and VBC quality expectations.
  • Monitor system performance and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Utilize systems including ACC, Excel, and Smartsheet.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and outside contractors.
  • Support capital projects, installations, and system upgrades.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful module completion.

Plumbing/HVAC Supervisor
Position Summary

The Plumbing / HVAC Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily plumbing and HVAC activities across two production lines. This role drives productivity, ensures high-quality installations, and maintains safe, efficient workflows in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $40.32 – $44.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
