PMEP is seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman to lead and coordinate plumbing work on active construction projects. You will ensure safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence while guiding plumbing crews and interpreting plans and specs.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership of plumbers on commercial construction sites.
  • Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent in the jurisdiction.
  • Experience supervising plumbing crews on active construction projects.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman to lead and coordinate plumbing work on active construction projects while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and schedule expectations are met. In this role, you’ll provide day‑to‑day field leadership to plumbing crews, interpret plans and specifications, coordinate with other trades, monitor project progress, and ensure installations comply with applicable plumbing codes and project requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong plumbing expertise with hands‑on leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to keep crews aligned and work progressing efficiently.

Core Responsibilities
  • Crew Leadership & Supervision
    • Lead, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of plumbers and plumbing crews.
    • Assign work based on project priorities, schedules, and workforce capabilities.
    • Provide field guidance, coaching, and technical support to crew members.
    • Monitor crew performance, productivity, workmanship, and adherence to expectations.
  • Plumbing Installation & Quality
    • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping, fixtures, equipment, and plumbing systems.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
    • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards, project specifications, and installation requirements are met.
    • Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and provide direction on appropriate solutions.
  • Safety & Code Compliance
    • Promote and enforce safe work practices and jobsite safety requirements.
    • Ensure plumbing work complies with applicable local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations.
    • Identify potential hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
    • Ensure crews properly use tools, equipment, personal protective equipment, and established safety procedures.
  • Project Coordination & Execution
    • Coordinate plumbing activities with project leadership, subcontractors, and other trades.
    • Monitor daily progress against project schedules and communicate potential delays or constraints.
    • Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower needs to support efficient field operations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, field conditions, and project progress.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Plumbing Foreman, Lead Plumber, or similar field leadership role in commercial construction.
  • Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent plumbing certification, as applicable to the jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising plumbing crews and coordinating work on active construction projects.

    • Demonstrate a proactive approach to jobsite safety and hazard prevention.

    • Provide clear updates regarding progress, manpower, materials, and field conditions.
    • Build productive working relationships that support successful project execution.
