This position requires the engineer/designer to perform all aspects of engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Ability to meet with architects and other team members to determine appropriate plumbing and fire protection systems, location, and preliminary cost estimates.
  • Performing appropriate fieldwork to determine a design direction, including making educated decisions on system designs and upgrades. Experience with system layout, calculation, and sizing of piping and equipment.
  • Work with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate systems during design and production drawings.

  • Strong written and communication skills are a must with the ability to multi-task – working on simultaneous project assignments, each in different phases.
  • Excellent client interface capabilities and organizational skills, as well as ensuring delivery of quality service to the customer while maintaining scope of the firm’s obligations.
  • Enthusiasm and eagerness for continued education and development of new skills.
  • Associates Degree in a related engineering/science discipline with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals is desired. Graduate and/or registered Professional Engineer is a plus.
