Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects seeks a Plumbing Designer to plan, design, and document plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse building types. You will develop construction documents, perform engineering calculations, and coordinate with project teams.

Under supervision of the Director of Engineering and Studio Director, you will collaborate with clients and consultants to deliver code-compliant, high-quality design solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in plumbing design and engineering.
• 4+ years experience in Fire Protection performance/bid document development.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• CPD certification from ASPE (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for new construction and renovations.
• Prepare fire protection documents and specifications.
• Perform plumbing sizing calculations and analyses.
• Participate in sustainable design analyses of plumbing systems.
• Support project planning and coordination with stakeholders.
• Assist with construction administration and respond to contractor questions.
• Maintain client relationships through responsive communication.
