Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects is seeking a Plumbing Designer to plan, design, and document plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse building projects in Madison, Wisconsin. You will develop construction documents, perform calculations, and coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver code-compliant, integrated designs.

Applicants should have 4+ years of plumbing design experience, 4+ years in fire protection document development, and proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in plumbing design and engineering.
• 4+ years experience in Fire Protection performance/bid document development.
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneNote).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems for new construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects.
• Prepare fire protection performance/bid documents and specifications.
• Prepare engineering calculations, including plumbing sizing and related analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project delivery and client service through clear communication.
