Job summary

Eppstein Uhen Architects Inc. is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead planning, design, and documentation of plumbing and fire protection systems across building types.

You will drive project delivery through construction documents, calculations, and stakeholder coordination, reporting to the Director of Engineering. Success requires strong technical aptitude, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years experience in plumbing and fire protection design.
• Proven track record leading complex plumbing and fire protection projects in commercial markets.
• Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and MS 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneNote).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong planning, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute design of plumbing systems for new construction, renovations, and facility improvements.
• Prepare fire protection performance and bid documents and specifications.
• Produce engineering calculations, including sizing and analyses.
• Participate in sustainable design and analyze plumbing system performance.
• Assess existing systems to support planning and design.
• Support construction administration and respond to contractor questions.
• Develop client relationships through responsive communication and service.
• Review colleagues' work for code compliance and quality.
• Mentor and develop junior plumbing designers.
