Job summary

LJ Cross Plumbing seeks a Plumbing Estimator/Project Manager to oversee the estimating process for all plumbing projects, review start dates and schedules, and monitor the Sales Pipeline. This role ensures adequate opportunities, collaborates with the Plumbing Department Head on hand‑offs, and assists in initiating projects and managing cost changes.

The estimator will analyze plans, bids, and supplier quotes to produce accurate cost estimates and maintain effective client communications

Qualifications

Experience in preparing and submitting plumbing bid proposals.
Ability to analyze plans, specifications and geotechnical information.
Experience maintaining an estimating schedule and bid pipeline.
Strong communication with clients and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Review bid invitations and manage estimating schedules to maximize opportunities.
Monitor Sales Pipeline and coordinate bid status with leadership.
Communicate bid intentions and discuss project aspects with clients.
Analyze plans, specifications, schedules, and other data to compute project costs.
Prepare and submit proposals for plumbing bids on or before deadlines.
Assist with project startup and hand‑off of awarded projects.
Support change analysis and cost impact assessments during projects.
